4th of July Weekend

The boys have been having a nice vacation at Gram/pa in West Linn, OR. We came down the week before July 4th and Guinness and I left Tim & Ozy back in West Linn until the 4th holiday, when we came back down to join them to celebrate Jim's bday.

Sometimes, Ozy will join Don/Debbie/Roxy sleeping in their bed, snuggling closely to Don. One night, Don found himself with not much room to stretch with Ozy & Roxy snuggled on both sides of his feet (that's Don's feet between Ozy & Roxy on the bed...)

In the mornings, Ozy likes to give grampa his morning bath. And he's very-very thorough...

Or he also likes to join Debbie for a quick nap at mid-day...

Guiness on the other hand, enjoys being in the backyard. He is a true hunter. He spends a lot of time under the deck and in the bushes looking for mice/rats or other creatures. He spends a lot of time considering escape routes too, though it is a lot more complicated now that Don has put up a brand new fence with strategic blockers placed all around...

Celebrating Father's Day

At Fuji Hibachi Style steak house...

Lisa's Chocolate Stout

Made with Theo's chocolate. How cool is that! This is my friend Lisa
@ St. Edward's park Brewer's Festival. She works at Georgetown
brewery. She's been bugging the owners to make a chocolate stout beer
for a long time, and finally as a surprise to her, they made one after
her... It was heavenly! I hope they widen up an make it they regular
lineup.

First sunset at the condo - stunning view!

My flight was delayed by 1.5hrs, so we went back to the condo to do
some cleaning. I got back at 1am to Seattle, then off to work the
next day starting @ 7am, constantly every day of the week, making it a
really-really hectic week for me... Glad it is the weekend...

First move in...

Forgot to continue posting after closing. There was a little hiccup
with under cabinet lighting plug, so we were late to the closing. It
took us almost 2 hrs to sign all the paperwork, and I was a bit
surprise that the seller was present there too. Once we're done, we
moved the first batch of stuff in then off to Costco to get supplies.

Bike Week, Sandusky, OH

It is bike week this week. Mona & Zach took me to see it last night.
There were hundreds of bikes, Harleys especially. Tons of people
seems to come out of the woodworks of quiet Sandusky and surrounding
small towns to partake in consuming liters and liters of Bud or Bud
Light.

Tiny Plane

This is the cabin of the plane I took from Chicago to Cleveland. We
did't even get a walkway when we arrived, had to deplane to a flight
of stairs, LOL. I can't remember the last time I was on a plane this
small...

Clown car

Even with a few less suitcases after the storage, Mona's car was still
tight for us. We practically had more 'stuff' than people. Tim
decided that the most comfortable spot in the car was the driver seat,
therefore he volunteered to drive us to the airport despite the stress
of navigating downtown Chicago one-way streets...

Mercy Hospital, Chicago

Where my sister Mona will be spending most of her time at the next 4
years...

Chicago Skyline from Shedd Aquarium

Our last day in Chicago, we were able to squeeze in a visit to the
museum block. Mom, dad and I went to the aquarium, while Mona and Tim
went to the Field Natural History museum. I think we might have
enjoyed the aquarium better, especially with the Planet Earth 4D IMAX
show, though Mona found the 'History of Shoes' exhibit at the end that
made the museum alityle more enjoyable...

Enjoying Gino's East Pizza in our hotel room

Chicago is famous for it's deep dish/ filled pizza. First night we
tried Giordano's, second night we had tappas and the last night we
decided to try a different pizza joint - Gino's East. Since we were
all pretty tired after walking around in town and museum all day, we
decided to do take out. We learned that the pizza shop was just a
few blocks away, so Tim & I thougt we could just walk there and bring
the pie back to the hotel. But we under estimated how much it was
going to rain that night. Needless to say we were drenched, not to
mention we missed the turn to the hotel on the way back. I soaked my
brand new expensive but extremely comfortable Dansko sandals and both
our jeans and jackets are drenched. At the end, we enjoyed the pizza,
but we probably should have called a cab or better yet - call for
delivery...

Standing by at Uhaul office waiting for the storage to be ready

Yummy French toast at Eleven Diner.

Second day in Chicago. We walked to the Millennium Park, spent a few
hours at the Chicago Art Museum Modern Art wing, got a tour of Hilton
Chicago Hotel (specifically it's famous $8000/night suites) from Josh
& lunch at the Eleven Diner. Nice day!

Helo..helo... Anyone out there?

Well, I've reserved this blogspot for a long time now, but never really posted.  Not sure why...  But my BIL introduce me to a convenient way of posting, via email.  So here it goes...  My first post.
I'll leave it at that and I'll continue a little later...  Ciao!
