Clown car

Even with a few less suitcases after the storage, Mona's car was still
tight for us. We practically had more 'stuff' than people. Tim
decided that the most comfortable spot in the car was the driver seat,
therefore he volunteered to drive us to the airport despite the stress
of navigating downtown Chicago one-way streets...

Chicago Skyline from Shedd Aquarium

Our last day in Chicago, we were able to squeeze in a visit to the
museum block. Mom, dad and I went to the aquarium, while Mona and Tim
went to the Field Natural History museum. I think we might have
enjoyed the aquarium better, especially with the Planet Earth 4D IMAX
show, though Mona found the 'History of Shoes' exhibit at the end that
made the museum alityle more enjoyable...

Enjoying Gino's East Pizza in our hotel room

Chicago is famous for it's deep dish/ filled pizza. First night we
tried Giordano's, second night we had tappas and the last night we
decided to try a different pizza joint - Gino's East. Since we were
all pretty tired after walking around in town and museum all day, we
decided to do take out. We learned that the pizza shop was just a
few blocks away, so Tim & I thougt we could just walk there and bring
the pie back to the hotel. But we under estimated how much it was
going to rain that night. Needless to say we were drenched, not to
mention we missed the turn to the hotel on the way back. I soaked my
brand new expensive but extremely comfortable Dansko sandals and both
our jeans and jackets are drenched. At the end, we enjoyed the pizza,
but we probably should have called a cab or better yet - call for
delivery...

Yummy French toast at Eleven Diner.

Second day in Chicago. We walked to the Millennium Park, spent a few
hours at the Chicago Art Museum Modern Art wing, got a tour of Hilton
Chicago Hotel (specifically it's famous $8000/night suites) from Josh
& lunch at the Eleven Diner. Nice day!

Helo..helo... Anyone out there?

Well, I've reserved this blogspot for a long time now, but never really posted.  Not sure why...  But my BIL introduce me to a convenient way of posting, via email.  So here it goes...  My first post.
I'll leave it at that and I'll continue a little later...  Ciao!
